Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Prudential Financial, Inc. 

Ann Kappler became General Counsel of Prudential in 2020 after serving as the company's Deputy General Counsel and Head of External Affairs for six years. Prior to joining Prudential in 2009, she was a partner at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr in Washington, D.C. Ann serves on the board of the Pro Bono Partnership and is a former member of the board of the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs. 

Ann has also served as the executive sponsor of the legal department's diversity and inclusion initiatives, and was instrumental in diversifying the ranks of Prudential's outside counsel even before becoming general counsel. 

Prudential Financial, Inc., promotes diversity through business resource groups, supplier diversity programs, and a Business Diversity Outreach program, which creates partnerships with diversity-oriented organizations.

Prudential was named an LCLD Top Performer in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2020.
