Anne T. Madden joined Honeywell in 1996 and became Senior Vice President and General Counsel in 2017, where she is responsible for the company’s global Legal function, which includes all global legal matters, as well as oversight of global Compliance matters, Government Relations, Global Security and Health, Safety, Environmental, Product Stewardship and Sustainability. In January 2020, Anne also took on responsibility for the Global M&A/Corporate Development function at Honeywell. She is a member of the Honeywell senior leadership team and is a company officer.
Among many other awards, Anne has been recognized as a “Woman Worth Watching” by Profiles in Diversity magazine, received the NJ Biz “Best Fifty Women in Business” award, was named by Treasury and Risk magazine as one of the Top Females in Finance, and was named a Chambers General Counsel Global 100 Influencer. She is a member of the Association of General Counsel, the board of the Institute for Legal Reform, the Council on Foreign Relations, the board of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation, and board of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library Foundation.
Anne exemplifies inclusive leadership as a co-chair of the Honeywell Global I&D Steering Committee and helped to fortify the language in Honeywell’s zero-tolerance policy on discrimination. She provides regular support and engagement to Honeywell’s numerous Employee Networks and recently championed the development of a trans employee toolkit in support of LGBTQ+ employees.
Honeywell’s diversity efforts include many efforts to promote retention among women, including its Women in Honeywell Engineering Network (WHEN) and the Aerospace Women’s Council.
In 2019, Honeywell was named an LCLD Top Performer for the seventh consecutive year. The company received the award again in 2021 and 2022.
