General Counsel and Managing Director, The Vanguard Group, Inc.
Anne Robinson joined The Vanguard Group in 2016 after serving as a Managing Director and General Counsel in the Citigroup global legal department. She has also held various legal positions with American Express and Deloitte Consulting. At Vanguard, Anne is Managing Director of the Office of the General Counsel, which includes Legal, Compliance, Investment Stewardship, and Government Relations. Anne is also an advocate for sponsorship and mentorship of other women in the legal profession.
“I feel very committed to making sure that women who are working twice or three times as hard have my help in turning that into achievement,” she said in an interview as part of the Legal Innovators Series.
In 2017, Vanguard joined the 30% Club, a global organization that advocates for greater representation of women in boardrooms and leadership roles. The company has also been named a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality and a Top Company for Women Technologists.
