Bimal Patel joined PayPal in 2021 and became General Counsel in 2022. He previously served in the U.S. Department of the Treasury from 2017 to 2020, where he was the most senior Indian-American to serve at the Treasury and co-led the department's work on the Paycheck Protection Program launched during the Covid pandemic. Bimal also served as Head of Financial Advisory and Regulation Practice at O'Melveny & Myers. In addition to his law degree, Bimal holds a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.
