Bob Johnson was named Chief Legal Officer of USAA in 2020 after serving as General Counsel of Truist Financial Corporation. Bob spent 10 years as General Counsel of BB&T, where he was also Member of LCLD and engaged the company in LCLD's Fellows and Success in Law School Mentoring programs.
As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, Bob created a Leader's Pledge detailing his personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read Bob's pledge here.
Diversity efforts at USAA include Diversity Business Resource Groups and a supplier diversity program. In 2019, USAA was named a Best Employer for Diversity by Forbes. USAA was named an LCLD Top Performer in 2020 and 2022.
