Catherine Levitt joined Fujisawa in 2004 as Assistant General Counsel. After the formation of Astellas in 2005, she held various leadership roles before becoming General Counsel in 2020. She was previously Corporate Counsel with Baxter International Inc. Catherine is also an award-winning fundraiser for LUNGevity, a nonprofit that funds lung cancer research.
As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, Catherine created a Leader's Pledge detailing her personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read Catherine's pledge here.
Diversity efforts at Astellas include a supplier diversity program, employee resource groups, and implicit bias training. In 2021, received a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index for the seventh consecutive year.
