Deputy Commissioner, Baseball Administration and Chief Legal Officer, Major League Baseball 

Dan Halem became Chief Legal Officer of Major League Baseball in 2014 after joining the organization in 2007. He was previously Partner in the Labor and Employment department of Proskauer Rose and counseled MLB, the National Basketball Association, the Women's National Basketball Association, and the National Hockey League. Halem has spoken about his passion for improving diversity among both players and staff, and played a role in the launch of MLB's diversity fellowship program in 2017. Other diversity initiatives at MLB include a leadership symposium for female executives and a supplier diversity program.
