Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Pfizer, Inc.
Doug Lankler joined Pfizer in 1999 and served as Chief Compliance and Risk Officer before being named General Counsel in 2014. He was previously an Assistant US Attorney in the Southern District of New York and a recipient of the US Attorney General's Distinguished Service Award.
In 2019, Doug hosted Pfizer's first-ever public event on gender parity in the legal profession. "My role as an ally is to foster a culture where men are intentional about becoming advocates for women and creating a space for them to grow and develop as professionals," he wrote after the event. That same year, Pfizer announced representation goals for roles of Vice President and above: 47% female and 25% minorities by 2025. Pfizer also has several colleague resource groups, a supplier diversity program, and Diversity & Inclusion Leads.
As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, Doug created a Leader's Pledge detailing his personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read Doug's pledge here.
Pfizer was named an LCLD Top Performer in 2021 and 2022.
