Chief Legal Officer and Secretary, Macy’s Inc.

Elisa Garcia became Chief Legal Officer of Macy’s in 2016 after 16 years as general counsel at Office Depot and Domino’s Pizza. Previously, she was Regional Counsel for Latin America with Philip Morrison International, where her fluency in Spanish made her a valued asset to the Latin American management team. Elisa is a former Board Member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and speaks frequently on legal education and legal billing.

Macy’s believes diversity in its employees, advertising, and suppliers is critical to its success. The Macy’s Law Department also regularly participates in the Street Law Pipeline Program. Macy’s hosted the first-ever Regional Leadership Summit at its Cincinnati headquarters in 2014, and was named an LCLD Most Active Member Corporation in 2014 and 2015.
