General Counsel, Google, LLC

Halimah DeLaine Prado became General Counsel of Google in 2020 after serving as Vice President of Legal. Before joining Google in 2006, she practiced media law at Dechert LLP. Halimah previously served on the board of the Juvenile Law Center. 

As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, Halimah created a Leader's Pledge detailing her personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read Halimah's pledge here

Google began publishing its diversity statistics in 2014 and is committed to improving the percentage of female, African American, and Hispanic employees overall and in leadership positions. Google has many employee resource groups and is focusing on what it calls a “crowdsourced effort” to improve diversity. Google was named an LCLD Top Performer in 2021 and 2022.
