Jeffrey Ferguson join The Carlyle Group in 1999 as the company's first lawyer, and now leads its legal operations around the world. Jeffrey also sits on the firm's Management Committee. He was previously an associate at Latham & Watkins and Vinson & Elkins and received his law degree from the University of Virginia.

The Carlyle Group was one of the first investment management firms to create a Diversity & Inclusion Council. The company is committed to improving the diversity of it workforce, and does this by tracking key performance indicators on D&I. The Carlyle Group also has several employee resource groups and has fellowships for women and minority banking analysts.
