Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Fidelity Investments
Jonathan Chiel is Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Fidelity Investments, overseeing Fidelity's Communications, Public Affairs and Policy Group. Before joining Fidelity, he served as General Counsel at John Hancock Financial Services and Chair of the Government Enforcement Practice Group at Choate, Hall and Stewart in Boston. Jonathan also serves on the boards of Equal Justice Works, a nonprofit that brings together law students, lawyers, legal services organizations, and supporters to promote a lifelong commitment to public service and equal justice, and the Harvard Law School Center on the Legal Profession.

Diversity initiatives at Fidelity include employee resource groups, leadership programs for members of underrepresented communities. Fidelity provides unconscious bias training to managers and employees, screens for bias in job descriptions, and in 2019, spent $140 million with diverse suppliers. The company also provides firms with resources and research on the building diverse and inclusive organizations.
Fidelity was named an LCLD Top Performer in 2021 and 2022.
