Julie Rottenberg joined Visa in 2008 and now oversees the company's global legal and compliance function. During her tenure at Visa, she has served on the litigation team and as Deputy General Counsel and Chief Counsel for North America, before being named General Counsel in 2021. Previously, Julie was a Partner at Arnold & Porter, LLP, and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert Beezer, U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, and the Honorable Samuel Wilson, U.S. District Court, Western District of Virginia.
Visa tracks the diversity of its outside counsel through its billing system and an annual evaluation that rewards those firms with the most meaningful diversity. Visa is a leading workplace for women in India, and has a strong LGBTQ resource group.
Visa was named an LCLD Top Performer in 2022.
