General Counsel, Navy Federal Credit Union 

Lou Brenner joined Navy Federal in 2007, overseeing all legal issues in all departments and managing all lawyers representing the credit union. Before coming to Navy Federal, Lou served as Senior Counsel and Co-Founder of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Senior Counsel for Enforcement at the U.S. Treasury Department. 

As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, Lou created a Leader's Pledge detailing his personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read Lou's pledge here. 

In 2017, Navy Federal was named the No. 3 Best Workplace for Diversity by Fortune magazine, recognized in particular for its high percentage of female executives and work-life balance. Navy Federal also has a professional development program for all employees that focuses on skills like leadership and emotional intelligence.
