Maryanne Lavan joined Lockheed Martin in 1990 and served in various leadership positions before becoming General Counsel in 2010. She is the executive sponsor of the company’s LGBT Forum and has developed various measures to make sure Lockheed Martin’s outside counsel is diverse.
As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, Maryanne created a Leader's Pledge detailing her personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read Maryanne's pledge here.
Lockheed Martin has consistently earned recognition for diversity, including a Catalyst Award for diversity in 2014 and a “Top 50 Employer” from Equal Opportunity magazine. An active participant in LCLD’s annual Leadership Summit, Maryanne recently hosted an LCLD Fellows Alumni Regional Roundtable in Washington, D.C. and is one of the corporate hosts of the Sustainable Partnership Program.
In 2022, Lockheed Martin was named an LCLD Top Performer for the fifth consecutive year.
