Executive Vice President and Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, Delta Dental Insurance Company

Michael Hankinson became Chief Legal Officer in 2014 after joining Delta Dental Insurance Company in 2010. Before coming to Delta Dental, he spent almost two decades as general counsel in the insurance industry with a focus on corporate strategy, transactions, and governance. A native New Yorker with a lifelong passion for fairness and diversity, Michael graduated from the Pace University School of Law and earned an MBA in Finance from Fordham University. Delta Dental was named an LCLD Top Performer in 2019. 

As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, Michael created a Leader's Pledge detailing his personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read Michael's pledge here.
