Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Johnson & Johnson
Michael Ullmann joined Johnson & Johnson in 1989 as a mergers & acquisitions attorney and held various management positions, including General Counsel of the Worldwide Medical Devices Group, before becoming the company's General Counsel in 2012. Michael is a member of the Board of Directors of Americares and serves on the Columbia Law School Board of Visitors.
Johnson & Johnson has a history of diversity. Founded in 1886, eight of its first 14 employees were women, and it hired its first female scientist in 1908. The company was a partner in President Johnson's 1964 Plans for Progress, which was dedicated to the elimination of employment discrimination, and has been recognized as a "Best Place to Work" for working mothers for more than 30 years.
