Michelle Browdy became IBM's first female general counsel in 2015, after five years as IBM's worldwide head of litigation. She is also a Board Member of the Pro Bono Partnership and Vice President of the Executive Commitee of the Yale Law School Association.
As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, Michelle created a Leader's Pledge detailing her personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read Michelle's pledge here.
IBM's law department has been recognized as the most innovative in the country. IBM was one of the first companies to add sexual orientation to its non-discrimination policies and in 2014 was named the most LGBT-inclusive employer in the world by the Workplace Pride Foundation.
In 2022, IBM was named an LCLD Top Performer for the sixth consecutive year.
