Nabanita Nag became Chief Legal Officer of Norfolk Southern Corporation in 2022. She joined the company in 2020 as General Counsel, Corporate, and was previously Vice President & Corporate Counsel in the Financial Management Law Group at Prudential, where she was nominated as an LCLD Fellow. Earlier in her career, Nabanita practiced at Goldman Sachs and Shearman & Sterling. She received her J.D. from New York University and serves on the Board of the Georgetown Alumni Club of Metro Atlanta. 

Norfolk Southern is the first Class I railroad to join CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion. Recently, Norfolk Southern was selected as one of America’s best employers for women by Forbes magazine. The company has also been recognized as a best place to work for LQBTQ+ equality by the Human Rights Campaign and a best place to work for disability inclusion by the Disability Equality Index.
