General Counsel, Salesforce

Todd Machtmes has been a vital part of the Salesforce legal department since joining in 2005. He became General Counsel in 2021 and today helps guide the company to respond to the wide variety of matters that come with an increasingly complex global environment. Prior to Salesforce, Todd worked at Adobe Systems Incorporated structuring large customer transactions. He is also the executive sponsor for Vetforce, Salesforce's employee resource group for veterans, families of service members, and allies.

At Salesforce, the Legal and Corporate Affairs Diversity Committee  focuses on promoting equality through its people, purchasing, philanthropy, and policy, and supports the broader company's Racial Equality and Justice Task Force. As of 2022, more than 50% of Salesforce employees were members of underrepresented groups. The company is also working to double the number of Black leaders in its US workforce and increase representation of other underrepresented leaders by 50% by 2023.
