Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Hospitals 

 

Vanessa Benavides joined Kaiser Permanente in 2015 as Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer and became Chief Legal Officer in 2022. She previously spent 10 years at Tenet Healthcare, served as legal counsel for Caremark Rx, and practiced with Locke Lord LLP. Vanessa serves on the Board of Directors of The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ youth, and is a former member of the national Board of Directors of the Human Rights Campaign.
