David Dekker has been a member of Pillsbury's managing Board since 2014, and was named Firm Chair in 2017. He has been recognized as one of the leading construction lawyers in the U.S. and one of the world's leading corporate counsel. David is also a Fellow in the American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel.
As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, David created a Leader's Pledge detailing his personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read David's pledge here.
Pillsbury was the first AmLaw 100 firm to be led by a woman, and it continues to promote diversity. The firm has been recognized by American Lawyer, the Women in Law Empowerment Forum, and Work Life Matters for its promotion of women, minority, and LGBT lawyers. In 2020, David led Pillsbury in joining the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance; at the same time, the firm also committed $11 million over three years to fight racial injustice and advance civil rights. Pillsbury was named an LCLD Top Performer in 2019.
