Firmwide Managing Principal, Beveridge & Diamond, PC
Kathryn Szmuszkovicz became Managing Principal of Beveridge & Diamond in 2020. She previously served for several years on the firm's Management Committee and led the Pesticides and Biotechnology practices. Before her legal career, Kathy served in federal and Michigan state government.
Under Kathy's leadership, Beveridge & Diamond has increased its focus on retaining diverse talent. As of 2020, 30% of the firm's principals were women and 59% of lawyers were diverse. B&D founded the Thurgood Marshall Opportunity Program for diverse first year law students, and has been recognized by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, the Defense Research Institute, and many others for its diversity.
Beveridge & Diamond was named an LCLD Top Performer in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
