Kim Koopersmith was the first female chairperson of Akin Gump, where she plays an active role in the firm’s diversity efforts. She oversaw the Women’s Professional Development Initiative and diversity pipeline programs and was recently named one of Diversity Journal’s Women Worth Watching. Kim also received the Pathmaker Award from Inside Counsel magazine and serves on the boards of Equal Justice Works and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, among others.
