Lucia Coyoca has been at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp since 1988, where she served multiple terms on the firm’s governing board. In 2018, she was recognized as one of the “Most Influential Women Attorneys” by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
Among her efforts to diversify the legal profession through leadership, Lucia serves as Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Woman Advocate Committee; on the Board of Directors for Legal Momentum (formerly known as NOW Legal Defense & Education Fund); on the Diversity Committee of Managing Partners Roundtable; and on the California State Bar Committee on Status of Diversity in the Profession.
At MSK, 61% of associates are women; among the leadership, 50% of practice group chairs and 40% of the firm's governing board are of diverse backgrounds, from race and gender to sexual orientation and past experiences. The firm also funds several scholarships; in 2008, MSK celebrated its 100-year anniversary by endowing a $100,000 scholarship fund to financially assist socio-economically disadvantaged students attending the UCLA School of Law.
