Chairman, Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP
Matthew Feldman became Chairman of Willkie Farr & Gallagher in 2021, after serving on the firm's Executive Committee and as Co-Chair of the Business Reorganization & Restructuring Department. In 2009, he left the firm briefly to serve as Chief Legal Officer to the Obama administration’s Task Force on the Auto Industry; he received the “Secretary’s Honor Award” from the Treasury Secretary for his service. Matthew is also active in pro bono work and serves on the board of the St. John’s School of Law Alumni Association.
As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, Matthew created a Leader's Pledge detailing his personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read Matthew's pledge here.
Willkie Farr & Gallagher’s diversity efforts include a cross-office mentoring program for associates, one-on-one interactions between Members of the Executive Committee and diverse associates, and a Women’s Professional Development Committee. The firm is also very active in pro bono and was named a Top Firm for Diversity in 2016 on The American Lawyer's Diversity Scorecard.
