Co-Managing Partner, Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell LLP
Mike Williams joined Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell in 2001 and became Partner in 2007. In 2012, his work with client Whirlpool on a flat fee structure earned the firm the designation of “ACC Value Champion.” Prior to joining the firm, Mike was Senior Editor of The Yale Law Journal and clerked for the Honorable Nancy Gertner of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, Mike created a Leader's Pledge detailing his personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read Mike's pledge here.
Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell recently overhauled its recruiting, interviewing, and hiring systems, leading to an increase in diversity—since implementation, 50 percent of new hires have been women and 23 percent have been otherwise diverse. In 2019, the firm was ranked fifth for the number of female attorneys in the Denver area. WTO also has a manager role focused on professional development and facilitating mentorship relationships within the firm, and participates in the Colorado Pledge to Diversity summer law clerk program.
