Chairman, BakerHostetler
Paul Schmidt became Chairman of BakerHostetler in 2019 after spending nine years leading the firm's national Tax Group and International Tax team. He is also a member of the Bloomberg Tax U.S. International Advisory Board and has served as the U.S. Vice Chair of the American Bar Association Tax Section Foreign Lawyers Forum.
As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, Paul created a Leader's Pledge detailing his personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read Paul's pledge here.
Diversity initiatives at BakerHostetler include a diversity fellowship program, a Diverse Attorney Conference, and a women's committee. The firm works to provide diverse staffing on client projects and intentionally appoints minority and women lawyers to its Hiring Committee.
In 2022, BakerHostetler was named an LCLD Top Performer for the fourth consecutive year.
