Paul Schoeman is Co-Managing Partner of Kramer Levin and Co-Chair of the firm's White Collar Defense and Investigations practice. He originally joined the firm in 2003, but left in 2007 to serve as Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, where he supervised the office's Criminal and Civil divisions and received a Director’s Award for Superior Performance as an assistant U.S. attorney. Paul returned to the firm in 2009 and now serves on the firm's Executive Committee.
As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, Paul created a Leader's Pledge detailing his personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read Paul's pledge here.
Diversity efforts at Kramer Levin include mandatory diversity training and a Racial Justice Initiative that pursues pro bono opportunities related to racial injustice and inequality. Kramer Levin has a unique history of involvement with the LGBTQ community, dating back to its role in helping launch Gay Men’s Health Crisis in 1981. The firm has also been named a top firm for gender equity and advancement of part-time attorneys.
