Co-Chair, Sullivan & Cromwell LLP
Robert Giuffra became Co-Chair of Sullivan & Cromwell in 2022. He also practices in the firm's Litigation Group and has been a member of the Management Committee since 2007. Robert has served in all three branches of government; he clerked for Chief Justice William Rehnquist of the U.S. Supreme Court, served as Chief Counsel of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, where he was a primary drafter of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995, and has been appointed by governors of both political parties to serve in the New York State government.
Sullivan & Cromwell has a special partnership with the Network of Black & Latino Lawyers to recruit and retain minority lawyers as well as do pro bono work in diverse communities. The firm’s Women’s Initiative, LGBT Network, and Asian Associates Network also provide many opportunities for its minority lawyers.
