Managing Partner, Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP

Robert Shannon became Managing Partner of Hinshaw & Culbertson in 2016 after leading the firm’s Government Practice Group. He is also Special Assistant State’s Attorney. Prior to joining the firm in 1999, Robert was a prosecutor with the City of Chicago’s Special Prosecutions Division. 

As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, Robert created a Leader's Pledge detailing his personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read Robert's pledge here. 

Hinshaw’s diversity efforts include a mentoring program, five affinity networks, a summer recruiting program, and promoting minority and female leadership. The firm has received many diversity awards, including recognition from Equality Illinois, the Human Rights Campaign, and MultiCultural Law magazine. 

Hinshaw was named an LCLD Top Performer in 2021.
