Chairman, Milbank LLP

Scott Edelman joined Milbank LLP in 1994 after serving as Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York. He became Chairman of the firm in 2013 after 10 years serving on the Executive Committee. In 2017, Scott was named a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. 

Milbank was one of the first major firms to establish a Diversity Committee, was the first NYC law firm to offer same-sex health benefits, and in 2017 was named one of the top 10 AmLaw 200 law firms for diversity. The firm has six affinity groups and a 1L Diversity Fellowship and 2L Diversity Scholarship, as well as a women’s initiative that includes a speaker series, pro bono opportunities with women clients, and career planning workshops.
