Managing Partner, Dorsey & Whitney LLP

William Stoeri became Managing Partner of Dorsey & Whitney in 2019, after 30 years with the firm. He previously led the firm's Global Trial Group, Health Litigation Practice Group, and Healthcare Industry Group. William serves on the Minnesota Historical Society Executive Council and was President of the Board of the Alumni Association of Kalamazoo College.

As part of LCLD's Leaders at the Front initiative, William created a Leader's Pledge detailing his personal and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Read William's pledge here

In 2018, Dorsey received Mansfield Certification Plus, making it one of only 27 law firms recognized for implementing the “Mansfield Rule.” This initiative is focused on increasing the representation of women and minorities in law firm leadership roles.

Dorsey’s other diversity efforts include a Diversity Advisor program which matches minority, LGBTQ, and senior women associates with partner advisors, a fellowship program for diverse law school students, and a number of other internal initiatives. Additionally, Dorsey sponsors and participates in several minority bar associations and other diversity-focused organizations.

Dorsey was named an LCLD Top Performer in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
