Senior Corporate Counsel- T-Mobile Handles all legal matters and regulatory compliance both at federal and local level for various entities. Experience with governmental affairs, tax law, contracts and compliance law matters with various governmental agencies and legislature. Current integration of Sprint and T-Mobile (notices to subscribers, entities reorganization, among others). Counsel internal clients such as Finance, Taxes, Supply Chain, Marketing, Compliance and Engineering and Government Sales in day to day business decisions. Achievements: Successful integration of Open Mobile and T-Mobile, both a regulatory and legal entity level and Puerto Rico Cares University Funding Program (up to $1K per university student). Legal and Regulatory Lead- Sprint, Boost Mobile and Open Mobile. High Level Management Executive that reported directly to President and CEO. Secretary of the Board of Directors. Knowledge on telecommunication legal and regulatory both at federal and local level. In charge of Legal, Internal Audit, Real Estate Negotiations, Corporate Security and Compliance Operations. Handled governmental and legislative affairs. Experience in integration projects, creation of departments and reorganization. Reviewed all Company contracts and provide legal counseling to Finance, Logistics, Human Resources, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Service and Sales. Liaison of legal matters with external counsel and insurance companies. Advised High Level Management on key decisions in order to comply with federal and state laws and regulations. Executed negotiations with key providers. Counsel High Level Management in day to day business decisions. Achievements: Acquisition of a minimum of $8M additional FCC funds due to the passage of Hurricane Maria and Irma; Part of the small team that lead the successful merger between Sprint and Open Mobile; Creation of a successful Legal Department with its own structure of processes, contract review, job descriptions, hiring and recruiting; Assumed and restructured Compliance Operational Department by adapting it to regulatory changes while decreasing costs and increasing revenues; Successful handling of governmental affairs by creating good rapport with regulatory agencies by collecting $5M+ in receivable during the last two years; Successfully passed federal and state regulatory agencies audits; . (FCC, PRTRB, etc); and Award of the FCC Uniendo a Puerto Rico Fund (Stage 2) $20M.
