LCLD is excited to announce the first-ever LCLD Pathfinder Alumni Meeting, planned by Pathfinders for Pathfinders! The meeting will be held Friday, September 15, through Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the Microsoft Innovation & Policy Center, 901 K Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.

The meeting will feature:

  • Two Continuing Legal Education (CLE) sessions: Trademark Disparagement, presented by Jeffrey J. Lopez, Attorney and Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center, who will cover race, commercial law, and recent Supreme Court cases; and Gerrymandering and Election Law, presented by Marc E. Elias, Partner; Firmwide Chair, Political Law Practice; and Member, Firmwide Executive Committee, Perkins Coie LLP.
  • Presentations by Congressman Jamie Raskin of Maryland's 8th Congressional District; Victoria Espinel, President and CEO of the Business Software Alliance; and Stan Pierre-Louis, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the Entertainment Software Association.
  • A networking Happy Hour event at nearby Nixon Peabody LLP on September 15, from 5:00-7:00 pm, for Pathfinder Alumni as well as Washington, D.C.-area LCLD Fellows and Fellows Alumni.
  • Networking Dine-Around Dinners on September 15.
