Presenters:

Mary Francia is Partner in the Board Practice of Odgers Berndtson. She brings 25 years of international leadership and executive management experience in Telecom, Consumer Electronics, Media, and Healthcare to help CEOs and Boards with Board Composition Strategy and Succession Planning. 

Before joining Odgers Berndtson, Mary was a strategy consultant for market development, portfolio transformation, and risk management.  As a corporate Executive, she led strategy, marketing, and sales teams at Nokia, Royal Philips, Time Warner Cable, Flex, and Air-Liquide in Europe and the Americas. She has also been a business strategy advisor at EICTA (Digital Europe), Philips Research, Bell Labs, The U.S. National Science Foundation, and several technology incubators.

Mary is an Italian American born in Peru.  She holds a Bachelor’s in business administration, an MBA in International Business, and a Certification in International Corporate Governance from INSEAD.

 

Conrad Woody is a Partner and Head of Odgers Berndtson’s U.S. Corporate and Government Affairs Practice in Washington. His portfolio of search work includes advising clients on government affairs, corporate communications/public affairs, economic development, trade association CEO and leadership roles. He also leads the firm’s corporate board diversity initiative.

Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson, he was a Principal at Korn Ferry and a key member of the firm’s Government Affairs Practice. Before working for Odgers Berndtson, Conrad was with Goldman Sachs, where he was a member of  the campus and diversity recruiting teams. He began his career as a staffer on Capitol Hill.

Conrad has a degree in political science from Howard University where he is a life member of the Howard University Alumni Association and serves as a director on the non-profit boards of Step Afrika!, Starting with Today Inc. and as an inaugural member of the Young Patrons Board of The Arena Stage.
