Please join your Charlotte-area LCLD Alumni, Fellows, and Pathfinders for a virtual happy hour and evening of service to engage in a community service project benefiting the Urban Ministry Center. The UMC is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that is funded through donations to end homelessness in Charlotte. We will connect with each other virtually and prepare bags to donate to Urban Ministry Center. If preparing bags is not your thing, no worries, there are several ways you can get involved so I hope that everyone will consider some act of service and join us either way.
Register here by 4/14/21.
Ways to get involved:
-
Pick up any of the following items the next time you are at the grocery store or have your groceries/amazon order delivered: men’s deodorant, liquid laundry detergent, all-purpose cleanser, mesh laundry bags, scrubs and shower shoes. You can make your bag(s) at the happy hour event on 4/16 and drop off your donations at your convenience (with a note that you are donating on behalf of LCLD) to 945 N. College Street, Charlotte NC 28206;
-
Order any of the items on the Urban Ministry Center’s Amazon Wishlist and have it sent directly to the UMC; https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/genericItemsPage/3TGAR7H8GVVFF
