Diversity in the Appellate Bar

Our highest courts decide issues that impact our everyday lives, yet there is very little diversity amongst the appellate attorneys and judges who handle these cases. Come learn about The Appellate Project, an exciting new initiative working to change that. Our panelists will discuss TAP's efforts and their own experiences as appellate clerks, lawyers, and judges, including what law firms and in-house counsel can do to improve diversity in this important area of practice.

Panelists:

  • The Honorable Timothy K. Lewis, Counsel, Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis (TAP Advisory Board Member)

  • Tiffany Wright, Co-Director, Howard University School of Law's Civil Rights Clinic and Senior Associate at Orrick (TAP Board Member)

  • Juvaria Khan, Founder and Executive Director, The Appellate Project
