Louisville LCLD Mentors and Mentees

We have arranged for local historian and author David Domine to come speak to our group about his newly released book, A Dark Room in Glitter Ball City, on March 10, at 4:00 p.m. Mr. Domine is an accomplished and compelling story teller, and is best known for his series of books delving into the ghost stories of Old Louisville. His books are rich with the history and stories emanating from our very own historical neighborhood. His most recent book involves a 2009 murder which took place in an old mansion located in Old Louisville, and which received much local media attention after the police discovered a body buried in the basement of the home 7 months after the murder. His book follows the investigation, the local gossip and scandals surrounding the murder, and follows the case as it proceeded through the judicial system. It touches on some of the challenges that members of the LGBTQ community face at times in our judicial and legal systems. As an aside, Mr. Domine holds a law degree from the Brandeis School of Law.

We have purchased books as a gift for the first 25 people in attendance, and Mr. Domine is planning to sign those books following his talk. We hope you can make it!
