Demystifying the Law School Transition to Legal Practice
Please join us for an important discussion co-hosted by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, KPMG, and Blank Rome. Our hybrid event will occur in Blank Rome’s New York City and Washington D.C. offices, and be moderated by Dominique Casimir, a partner in Blank Rome’s Government Contracts group, and Samir Ahuja, a partner in Blank Rome’s Finance, Restructuring, and Bankruptcy group, as well as our 2023 LCLD Fellow, this panel will discuss their respective paths taken through law school and transition to practicing Big Law or in-house for corporate legal departments and the skills needed to advance in their careers. Hear our panelists offer their unique perspectives–as law firm attorneys and in-house attorneys–on why it is so critical for attorneys to create strong personal and professional networks, how to create meaningful connections, and maintain those relationships throughout their careers.
