How the January 6 Committee Captured the Attention of a Nation and Changed the Future of Congressional Investigations

LCLD and Jenner & Block invite LCLD alumni to hear directly from panelists with first-hand experience of the January 6, 2021 riots and the ensuing congressional inquiry on Wednesday, March 8 at 12:00 PM.
Panelists include Hannah Muldavin, the Deputy Communications Director and Spokesperson for the January 6 Committee; Officer Caroline Edwards, an officer with the United States Capitol Police who patrolled the Peace Circle walkway on January 6 where the first rioters breached the Capitol Grounds; and Jenner & Block Partner Michelle Kallen, who served as Special Litigation Counsel in the US House of Representatives and represented the January 6 Committee in litigation. Jenner & Block Special Counsel Marcus Childress (2020 Pathfinder), who served as investigative counsel for the January 6 Committee, will moderate the panel discussion. The speakers will share their personal experiences witnessing the riots that day and serving in leadership positions during the congressional investigation. They will also discuss the impact the January 6 Committee has had on the future of congressional investigations.
