Our Members are action and results-oriented individuals—corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners—united by a commitment to building a truly diverse legal profession.
Accordingly, LCLD has created a unique set of programs and initiatives that were designed by lawyers, for lawyers, to work in the real world. These include innovative mentoring and professional development programs that operate at practically every stage of a legal career, starting at the university level and carrying through to the corner office.
Specifically, our Success in Law School Mentoring Program, elite 1L LCLD Scholars Program, Pathfinder Program, Fellows Program, and LCLD Alumni are all designed to propel talented diverse lawyers, women and minorities, on a path to excellence and leadership in our organizations.
Our Members are both beneficiaries and active participants in these programs, creating new opportunities for diverse talent and working to remove impediments to growth and success.
This is the critical difference between LCLD and other organizations—and one reason we've succeeded in meeting the needs of more than 10,000 program participants since 2011, including a robust infrastructure of virtual meetings and activities that have strengthened the LCLD community during these challenging times.
