I, Jason Peltz, personally commit to the following:

Personal Commitment

  • Communicate my commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and the advancement of diverse lawyers
  • Promote leadership and accountability by actively reviewing hiring, work assignments, and compensation processes
  • Regularly meet with our lawyers from underrepresented backgrounds to hear about their experiences and perspectives on ways the firm/I can support their development and leadership goals
  • Meet twice a year with our LCLD Fellows, Pathfinders and alumni for updates about their experiences at our firm and, for current participants, their feedback on LCLD programming
  • Speak with LCLD member colleagues and clients about opportunities to collaborate on initiatives (e.g., mentorship or sponsorship) that support our mutual objectives to develop, retain and advance talented attorneys from underrepresented backgrounds at our respective organizations
  • Collaborate with a General Counsel to host an LCLD Leadership Lunch

Organizational Commitment

  • Ensure our teams are comprised of diverse talent and fairly distributing leadership and professional opportunities
  • Ensure the firm appropriately recognizes and compensates attorneys engaged in activities/leadership that advance the firm's citizenship priorities, including DEI efforts
  • Create and integrate DEI programming for lawyers and professional staff to support an inclusive workplace
  • Continue devoting resources to support DEI efforts, including active participation in the LCLD Fellow, Pathfinder, and Mentoring Programs, as well as offering opportunities to law students through the Bartlit Beck Diversity Fellowship
  • Continue our efforts to attract associate candidates from diverse backgrounds
