Personal Commitment
- Support my own learning and growth by engaging with experts on DEI as well as attending Managing Partner and chair DEI conferences to increase addressing DEI issues in the workplace
- Champion diversity and inclusion in our firm by leading by example
- Use my platform as the Firm’s Managing Partner to advocate for systemic change in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion
- Champion in my position at the firm to improve fairness in our processes for talent acquisition, professional development, promotion, compensation, and appointment to firm leadership and committees
- Schedule time with one or more women or diverse attorneys/staff during each visit to one of our firm offices to provide these attorneys with access to senior management
Organizational Commitment
- Implement training on creating a culture of inclusive engagement for all persons in the firm
- Consider recruitment and retention targets for attorneys of color from historically underrepresented racial backgrounds
- Work with Firm departments and teams to enhance fair allocation of work across the team, especially in the first two years of practice
- Proactively make and assist with meaningful client connections with real client growth opportunities with partners from historically underrepresented racial backgrounds
- Collaborate with clients on thought leadership and programming to advance diversity and inclusion in the profession
- Continue our firm commitment to social justice through community engagement, education and financial support
