Personal Commitment

- Continue to seek educational opportunities to increase my cultural competency
- Consider more critically my own language with a focus on how my word choice might impact others

Organizational Commitment
- Further our firm’s efforts to become:
- An “employer of choice” for those in the legal profession who seek an inclusive workplace offering first-tier career opportunities
- A “law firm of choice” among clients who share diversity as a business value
- A “leader by example” in our broader legal, business, and political communities
- Continue to participate in the Mansfield Rule certification process to gain promotion from Cohort to Certification Plus in June 2023
- Intentionally consider a broad slate of underrepresented talent in our hiring, including positions of leadership
- Revise internal firm documents using gender-inclusive language
- Review our firm’s core values with an eye toward inclusion and belonging
- Develop an inclusive culture in the workplace that embraces all employees and enables them to make meaningful contributions while caring about and appreciating each other
- Send out weekly emails to share information more broadly
- Highlight an employee each week to share their personal and cultural background in a way to foster inclusivity and togetherness
- Continue to refine and improve our hybrid working environment
- Improve internal satisfaction and retention through authentic community and personal wellness efforts
- Prioritize retention and increase leadership opportunities at all levels of the firm for BIPOC professionals
