Personal Commitment
- Utilize my platform to prioritize DEI efforts across Hausfeld and the wider legal industry by continuously communicating that DEI is a core value of the firm that is critical to our business strategy that must be integrated in all of our behaviors and processes.
- Continue to serve on the Firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee and support the broader DEI team to invest the resources and support needed to implement recommendations, programs, and initiatives.
- Meet semi-annually with my organization’s LCLD Pathfinders to learn about their experiences at the firm, feedback on LCLD programming, and recommendations for increasing and improving the firm’s DEI efforts.
- Use my position to advocate for equity in work assignments, business development opportunities, leadership opportunities, compensation, and recruiting.
Organizational Commitment
- Foster an inclusive environment where lawyers and staff from underrepresented backgrounds feel welcomed and supported at work by continuing to invest in our training programming, DEI initiatives, mentorship programs, among other initiatives.
- Continue to maintain Mansfield Rule Certification Plus to create more opportunities for hiring, leadership, and promotion for historically underrepresented attorneys.
- Strengthen relationships with law schools and increase the diversity pipeline to the legal profession through Hausfeld’s 1L Diversity Fellowship Program.
- Continuing to examine and expand the schools from which we recruit, as well as broadening our networks regarding lateral partner recruiting.
- Continuing to evaluate and monitor mentoring programs to improve equity and opportunities for success.
- Continuing to provide robust DEI training opportunities to the entire firm on a regular basis that aim to combat unconscious bias and stereotyping in the workplace.
- Continuing to develop partnerships with organizations, bar associations and causes outside of the firm to improve DEI in the communities that we serve, including implementing service days where both attorneys and staff can volunteer.
- Continuing to ensure that policies and procedures relating to professional development and promotion are transparent and equitable.
- Continuing to provide billable credit to all attorneys who participate in approved pro bono efforts.
- Continue to ensure a robust equitable feedback program for all lawyers and staff.
- Ensure that the firm recognizes and considers personal contributions to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion at Hausfeld.
- Ensure that the firm’s Management Committee recognizes and evaluates Partners on their personal contributions to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion at Hausfeld.
