Personal Commitments

  • I will use my voice as a leader at Dowd Bennett LLP to advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion within the firm, in the legal profession and in my community.
  • I will use my position among the firm’s leadership to advocate for changes to improve the equity of processes such as work assignments, hiring, promotion and compensation.
  • I will sponsor at least one diverse attorney within the firm each year.
  • I will communicate DE&I initiatives with clients and explore partnership opportunities.
  • I will meet with my organization’s Fellows, Pathfinders, and Alumni to discuss their experiences within the organization and invite each individual to provide a recommendation for how the organization could improve.

Organizational Commitments

  • Dowd Bennett will provide DE&I training and programming on a variety of topics.
  • I will commit firm resources to ensure that we meet our DE&I goals and support an inclusive workforce.
  • I will ensure that the hiring manager and interviewers have a lens for understanding the business need for diverse talent/representation.
  • Dowd Bennett will partner with clients on DE&I initiatives.
