Personal Commitment

  • I will use my leadership position to regularly communicate the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) at Clark Hill at all levels.
  • I will personally commit to fostering a culture of belonging in my own interactions within the firm, the larger legal community and our global and local business communities.
  • I will promote, prioritize and participate in Clark Hill’s DEI initiatives and programs, including Monthly Inclusion Celebrations, 21-Day Challenges, Affinity Group events and Ally Ship Workshops.
  • I will support Clark Hill’s commitment and involvement in LCLD’s programs including Fellows and Pathfinder.
  • I will engage with and share DEI best practices and experiences with clients and other leaders in the legal industry.

Organizational Commitment

  • Clark Hill will continue to commit firm resources that fully support our DEI initiatives and programming so that they are successful, and our goals are achieved. 
  • Clark Hill will ensure collaboration and coordination of DEI initiatives and programming at every level of the firm, including business units, operations, recruiting, professional development, business development, Affinity Groups and other DEI related committees and teams.
  • Clark Hill will continue to participate in and obtain Mansfield Rule Certification through Diversity Lab and use the Mansfield Rule in the appointment of leaders, hiring and in staffing matters.
  • Clark Hill will measure our inclusiveness and the impact of our DEI programming through firm wide surveys and use this data to improve future programming.
  • Clark Hill has developed a mandatory Allyship at Work program that is designed to provide the entire workforce with education, training and tools on Allyship. The program includes updated material on diversity, equity and inclusion, and addresses understanding unconscious bias and micro-aggressions.
  • Clark Hill will continue to engage and expand upon its diversity partnerships with clients, diversity organizations and our communities.
