John Schultz
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Operations, Legal and Administrative Affairs — Hewlett Packard Enterprise
I, John Schultz, personally commit to the following:
Personal Commitments
- To foster and encourage an inclusive and psychologically safe environment where HPE team members from diverse backgrounds and communities can bring their whole, authentic selves to the workplace.
- To advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the HPE Office of Operations, Legal, and Administrative Affairs (“OLAA”) organization by cultivating a workplace that enables each team member to become a better person as a result of having been a part of OLAA.
- To continue to expand my own personal understanding of, education on, and awareness of DEI-related issues.
- To continue to engage with external organizations that advance DEI initiatives and programs and/or that advocate for social justice and/or legal rights for underrepresented communities.
- To ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion are reflected in how we recruit, develop, promote, and retain talent.
- To work with our third-party service providers to ensure they understand and commit to our DEI expectations.
Organizational Commitments
- To continue to cultivate an organizational culture that maximizes our team members’ abilities to live in harmony and with purpose, recognizing that such experience is subjective and varies with the richness and diversity of our OLAA team members.
- To continue to develop a high-performing inclusive culture within OLAA and recognize that it is an essential element that drives winning outcomes and excellence in our work.
- To continue to dedicate meaningful resources to an OLAA I&D Working Group aimed at advancing DEI within our organization.
- To regularly reserve time in all team member meetings for discussions of subjects and programs that help to advance DEI.
