Personal Commitment
- Lead by example and use my leadership roles to advocate for and promote greater inclusivity, and model inclusive behaviors with intentionality- increasing visibility within the firm, and the broader legal profession.
- Engage with our partners and ensure they recognize the importance of their role in supporting and developing our diverse talent. Hold partners and managers accountable for the diversity of their teams.
- Work with our Race Champions and Black Affinity Network to improve the representation of historically excluded talent including those who identify as Black, have intersecting identities and lawyers and business team members at all levels of our firm. I will actively seek feedback from our historically excluded lawyers to better understand how they experience Linklaters, and to foster change by encouraging an open dialogue.
- Meet with our LCLD Fellows and Pathfinders and seek feedback on their experiences at the firm and of their experience participating in LCLD programs.
- Be a visible leader and ally to our LGBTQ+ colleagues in my role as the Executive Diversity & Inclusion Champion of our LGBTQ+ group, one of our six global strands of diversity.
Organizational Commitment
- Actively engage partners to ensure a gender-balanced pipeline at all levels and in all practice areas and geographies to support our gender targets.
- Improve the retention and progression of Black colleagues with the aim of proportional retention for historically excluded talent.
- Continue to build a racial and ethnically diverse talent pipeline through our talent and sponsorship programs, working with participants and sponsors to develop their career strategies.
- Increase senior accountability for delivery of our Race Action Plan, focusing on group leaders, practice heads, function heads, senior managers and office leads.
- Empower all colleagues globally to take ownership and accountability for building a culture of equity, inclusion and belonging regardless of identity on the spectrum of diversity.
